The handling is razor-sharp at first, making it seem flawless to follow the path as it weaves from left to right. Compared to WRC 9, with the increased number of tracks, the combination of new vehicles, 52 official teams, and 4 new rallies, there is plenty of new features to enjoy on the go.
It may seem like a loss but really does not affect the overall gameplay as there is still plenty to do. It is missing WRC Esports, online multiplayer, and online clubs. It carries some of the same features as its other console counterparts such as the Livery Editor, the Anniversary Mode, and new stages like Greece and Spain. It gives owners a racing game that does not involve Karts and power-ups. WRC 10 gives Switch owners a serious racing game, representing the real-world 2021 season of the World Rally Championship. WRC 10 not only takes care to include the Switch but is a great addition for gaming on the go.
WRC 10 is the latest of the series to join the Switch, about 6 months after the other consoles. It also needs the capability to play remotely since that is a key feature. However, it is important to try to make the Switch version just as good as it is the most cost-efficient console to play games on.
#WRC 10 XBOX PC#
Anyway, I digress. When it comes to multiplatform games, the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions tend to be more sought after than the Switch. Off topic: This is why I hope for more devs doing unlicensed 'mock' cars like Automobilista and Raceroom: as long as we get to add community AI names and skins, we get the same experience, but the devs get increased freedom. Imagine how much better sims like the KT WRC series and NASCAR Ignition might have been without requirement to push out yearly games, regardless of whether or not they are half-baked or unpolished. If only licenses like NASCAR and WRC (as well as the need for increased revenue from sales of brand new games) didn't require yearly games. but putting myself in their shoes, I understand why they might have to, especially given the new regs incoming. Given the bugs, KT just shouldn't be moving on to the next game yet. I want this game to be amazing, it clearly has the potential, but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger.
#WRC 10 XBOX MOD#
At least the AI can be fixed by a mod (I think Stephen Bailey is working on something) but the other issues can't. So frustrating reading the comments about serious remaining bugs above and seeing that the AI still isn't mentioned as an issue.
